RENOVATIO

bien, c’est le nouvel an. une année de nouveaux défis. une année de SK. comme quelqu’un sur le projet dirait “n’Est rien beaucoup pour attendre impatiemment”. j’ai cru que j’essaierais blogging dans le français pour une fois. puisque je suis le “homme français” au travail. bien que je croie que cela retournera horrible. haha

lotsa crap happening this year.. wad so good bout being the chairman when u end up doing sh!t anyway. yes, i sense more in the year to come.

been a rather hectic january, with all the meetings seeming to endlessly flow like the freakin’ river.. dun they realize there’s still feb?? well, its over, and now i’m just putting off my work till monday. gotta issue the TBE report and the purchase order for another package by friday. haven’t got a clue how i’m possibly gonna accomplish that. “no pressure 小弟, your package is only worth only one year’s salary” -_-”

new year celebrations went well surprisingly.. with all the chaos of the “next generation”.. i’m still ALIVE~~ ALIVE!! spent some of yesterday watching old home videos of the gatherings we had more than 10 years ago.. we all ended up laughing at each other. the stoopid things we did when we were young.. n how chubby n rounded i was… wait… guess there ain’t much difference.. hehz..

well.. v-day’s comin.. something to get into the mood.. well.. mon humeur…

guess i’m in that christmas mood again… what i’d give to snuggle on the couch.. with hot butter popcorn watching l0ve actually… or n0thing hill…or music n lyr1cs.. romantic comedies n stuff… anything with hugh grant cant go wrong…

dun suppose anyone would be interested in squash every sat? no kaki leh … only bg n me very sian~ hmmmm… squash sessions are always enjoyable.. with a bit of chatter n running .. all nicely topped up with . . .

well, it’s been a bz week..wad am i talking about.. it’s always a bz week…havin some tie down meetings with the current comm.. ah, u’re lookin at the ‘08 chair.. so many things to tie down b4 the end of the year..mr NG!! ‘08 corporate lead ah~ *hintZ*

after 2 months of planning, it was over in just 2 days.. the long awaited day is finally done n gone.. some pics..

then for those i havent told, my lead was down with a mild stroke.. he’s since been discharged.. havin almost all of his functions back. last i heard, he still felt a bit numb in the arm but it’s gettin better.. he’ll be back at work in 2 weeks. pretty fast for someone who had a stroke attack. man~ he’s lucky..

then there were things i didnt know.. like we are actually the main contractor for the F1 circuit.. haha.. i got a free cap at a meeting .. wonder if i can get anything more~

yup… our group was the one with the highest score.. waaaahahaha~

n finally.. my family’s take on sukiyaki n tepanyaki~

more tas-ty treats~ all these lunch outings are really getting me addicted to expensive taste! lookin forward to the next one on monday.. but its gonna be a sad sad occasion i guess. my lead’s leaving for greener pastures. well,it does give him a chance to work in his homeland for awhile which is a plus point for him i guess. he’s always been around to guide me.. what to look out for in all then enggring situations.. how it all comes together n all.. n he’s the lead for the first project i was on.. yeah~ wish him well.. our’s is very streamline sector.. bet well work together on some other proj again..

n his last piece of advice.. i’m too early~ it might be a bit early for me to switch even if it’s a “faster” path..or maybe project management should i jump back to enggring.. officially, more experience is needed b4 them even considering someone..but the chance is here now.. haiz~ he’s sayin should i ever decide to come back to elec enggring though- it’s gonna be almost back to the start once more.. arrrghh~ n he’s saying something else might pop up later.. like declining nigeria n getting houston -_-” personally i dun think lighting strikes twice in the same area..

ok.. the time has come to make a choice.. n frankly, i’m not to sure if i should stay or go~

well, i’ll still be here..but not in enggring.. it’s just a big career move though.. been offered a place in sales & proposals.. how how??

on the one hand, i dun really mind stayin in enggring.. like the job scope, like the working environment, like the long hours (they seem to pass by really fast most of the time).. would like to see myself doing lead enggr one day..

on the other hand, wouldn’t mind having a change. wouldnt mind the presentations n stuff.. aint much of a big deal to me.. but then, gotta keep up with the knowledge of current technologies.. knowledge of quality issues.. knowledge of overall processes etc.. got a lot to study (ya.. more studyin again….)..maybe i can get my hugo boss suit?? hahaha..

its gonna be a loooong week…

well, it’s one of those days i wish i was home sleeping. the nice cloudy sky, the cooling air conditioner. . . man i wish i was home right about now. motivation!! i need motivation!! i'’m falling asleep dammit… n there’s nothing to look forward to further more..

anyways. i havent got a new phone yet, but i seem to be getting the hang of taking pics with the old spoilt one.. it’s just every now n then it’s really really difficult to find the g sp0t. in random order~

u know how sometimes things turn out to be routine.. so routine that one change just upsets the whole balance thinggie… this is not that change cos everything’s still pretty much routine. was listening to mi-ka’s grace kellly yest morning after finally getting to burn a new mp3 CD for the car.. then i heard people talking in the background.. something i dun usually hear, of course it almost drove me off my lane, but … but… there actually were ppl with conversations throughout the whole song in the background!! n all this happens on the right speaker! all this while i’m so used to listening to music on the left i never knew what i was missing on the right~ doh!

suprise suprise, an entry has taken everyone off guard, a supposedly quiet end to the mooncake saga had a last minute twist. just when the festival was coming drawing to a close, in comes 2.. yes, 2 boxes of mooncake from raffl3s hotel!! what remains to be seen though is whether or not the 6 leftover mooncakes stuffed in the fridge yesterday will still be there this morning.

but in any case, this yr’s aint that nice.. hv yet to try the mocha one though, hmmm.. that shall be todays agenda~ n someone actually came up to organize another mooncake gathering later. haha~ unlike last yr when i was co-organizing, this yr i dun hv to get the mooncakes!! hahaha~ man this is evil.

one more interesting fact b4 i go off. . . my bro just went to officer’s school yest.. impressive…
