RENOVATIO

had dinner with the dept ppl just now at armara hotel. they were having this 1 for 1 offer .. $44 for international buffet..i was like thinking .. wad the hell, protien shake for the past 4 days..might as well reward myself. haha. thats like the “wrong-est” thinking in the world. f*ck the diet. for 1 day that is.. i think the most memorable dish over there is … the dessert! haha. everything else was “normal” to me.

anyways it was ktv after that. whahaha~ couldnt wait till oct, so some of the impact ppl decided to go for party world. the one behind temasek tower. had to rush over there after dinner. they had already been singing for an hour.. the impact ppl i mean.

so it was a night of shouting n screaming.. enjoyed it all.. thinking of doing it again..in oct maybe.

well well well.. arent we back here again.. i went full circle n i’m back.. at golf that is. finally decided to play again. was suppose to play with an old poly fren but he wasnt free..so with the company ppl it is. the feel of the club, the night wind blowing, the wonderful “tac” sound when u hit the ball right.. ahhh, i miss’em all..

couldnt find my golf clubs..sob sob.. managed to find replacements though. dad had a spare set in the office store. so i went to the driving range n everyone was like waiting to see me hit. i suppose it’s the impression that i hv my own clubs so i must be urm good? it was a disappointment though. first few shots were horrible. actually its the almost half of the first basket..almost.. thats like 20+ balls? after a long 6 years of absence.. i managed to get back my swing..eventually.

beyond the 100m board for a 9 iron .. whoohoo~ i’m back..still havent got back my accuracy for pitching though, at least the rest of my strokes are pretty straight.. gonna be practicing my 7 iron next week. yay!

didnt feel like gymming today.. need another dose of ktv soon.. i wanna belch my heart out…

yes.. if u recall, the prev post, went to lilliputt for team building? well, it’s back there again. this time we brought some kids from the children’s aid society to play. yesh, its another IMPACT organised event.

the kids were cute.. it’s sorta strange. they may be orphans n such. but they’re still so full of life. they love making frens.. its like, the moment we got to talk to them in the home, we all were like frens instantly.. energetic bunch i must say.. enjoyed my time with them actually..

the view from kranji dam at 11. breath taking isnt it? well it looked better there. i need a better camera. probably one with an adjustable shutter speed.. it’s a change from the view of everyday buildings for me at least. anyways, this is gonna be a backdated post to thurs.(no time until now lah..) between the couple on the next bench on the right of us, and the ppl camping on the left of us, i think i had a pleasant time there.. chatting, enjoying the view, feeling the breeze and eating tao hway..hehz.. been having second thoughts bout publishing some of my posts.. i think it might be inappropriate, but i guess all good things have to come to an end, be it happy or sad. this might probably be the last if not one of the last outing..i suppose i will come back here someday. maybe to reflect? reminiscence? who knows…

so..had dinner at billy’s with kel, jer n zx just now..or yest rather. i think the food’s getting a tab bit boring. maybe after all the expensive food i’ve been having to past few weeks, i’ve seemed to hv grown an expensive taste bud. i suppose its good, now i’ll be more picky with food? slim down faster? hahaha..

verdict:

mixed grill - not so good
vanilla shake with irish cream - so so, but its a nice twist

was time for a movie after the meal. Imagine You & Me.. i think its a good show to catch. if u’re open minded that is. it is after all, a “les” movie. i think it was pretty romantic. sad for the newly wed husband..but romantic. has a lot of ups n downs in the movie, but coupled with brit humor..i think its comparable to love actually..hehz..but i’m no movie critic. i still recommend it though..

oh oh oh … before i knock off for the night, had this pleasent treat just now after the movie..hehe. evilZ.

yes, we split the lecture 50-50.. and everyone did leave with a better understanding of harmonics. now..the only problem at hand, i hv another killer topic to lecture on.. EMI, or electormagnetic interference. think i gotta put in a lot of effort to lecture on this..

why, oh why, do i seem to get the “imaginary” topics to lecture on.. why can i get something easy to visuallise.. like disel generator or cable terminations or something..

had the IMPACT general meeting today.. and the video team was formally introduced.. guess i shocked some ppl by joining the video team. whahaha~ then due to budget constraints, we were reduced to eating subway sandwiches without the cookies and drinks, aka - NO SET MEAL… awww well, the group did grow 2 fold over the past few months. guess that was the side effect.

then after lunch came the printing of notes for my lecture on harmonics. it seems i’m gonna hv to give a bigger part of the lecture. its a more in-depth topic n i guess i better suited.. or maybe its because i was toking to charmaine in the previous lecture, but hey, she din know where the genereator was in the single line diagram ..

this whole week was filled with lecture after lecture.. of course there’s also the “preparation for my lecture”, which is i think friday next week.. hvacs, pumps, environmental engineering.. and more importantly .. the first electrical training prep by fellow colleague, edward.. the indo fella.. so the manager went through the lecture. not him .. as wad was said in the meeting when this issue of lecturing was first brought up.. ah wellz, i suppose i may not need to lecture in the end.

then it was time for lunch just now, or yest rather, and it started raining damn it! we were supposed to be having maxwell chicken rice for lunch. ended up detouring to the han’s at the next building. well, i reckon we can always organize the next buddy lunch at maxwell. if it doesnt rain..hehz

then the 3rd aerobic lesson, peter organised some leg raising exercise where we had to hold hands with the other person next to you. so if any of us were to use the “wrong” muscle, the other person would feel the tension too.. innovative i must say.. but most of all sinister.. just like me.. mwahahaha~

and then there was mahjong.. i suppose this “ghost” month (or months..there’s 2 right?) really is my month, for mahjong at least. there seem’s to be a “ghost” looking out for me.. i suppose there’re pros and cons.. so far, no cons yet..if i hv to go i hv to go.. i’m sorta sure i’d end up in hell anyways.. i dunno…..

xiao ma wanted to meet up today.. hmm .. or yest rather.. it is 4 in the morning now.. anyways.. his wife’s in thailand. 2 possibilities i can think of, 1) he’s bored and lonely, 2) he’s enjoying his wife’s absence. i reckon it’s option 2 with a dash of option 1. after a long discussion on movie/supper/mahjong/ktv.. we decided on ktv.. well, i suppose it’s fate? to drown my sorrows in the only way i can..jeff chang songs?

cant drink.. cos i’m driving.. cant tok to anyone.. i am a loner after all.. or rather.. there are somethings.. well.. better they not be known.. so it was song after song.. yes, i do know the lyrics to jeff’s songs.. i did relate to them in the past.. maybe the past is back to haunt me..then there was the failed attempt at wham!’s careless whisper.. should hv just stuck to george michael’s version..

it’s official, i’m the new member for the IMPACT Global Video Project.. maybe it’s something that can keep me occupied for the moment..
