alright. i’m back in singapore. feels kindda different being away for nearly 3 weeks.. hehz. .went for supper with some frens at bedok simpang. once again i learnt there were things i didnt do, food i didnt try. ah wellz. there will always be another time.. i hope. will put up the photos to taiwan another time. hving some technical problems..
finally got to go to shenzen. met up with aunt yong at tsing yi after a very sloppy morning. a long scenic bus ride to the train station thereafter n a short train ride to the immigration. just when u tot everything was going smoothly, life throws u a curve ball.. THE QUEUE TO GET THROUGH IMMIGRATION WAS HORRIFIC AH.. OMG, those ppl in the immigration, cant they like chop faster or something. they seem to be taking their my time to do things so freakin’ slowly. my poor uncle was waiting at the shenzen side for like almost an hour.. oops..hehz
how come ah .. bldg back home not that nice one…
when we finally got there, had VERY CHEAP lunch. its only like S$30 for a meal for 5. urm .. considering wad we ate would prob cost us at least S$100. kel din eat much (as usual picky about food…ooops) then both aunt n uncle was pestering me to come up with some food that kel eats. it was an irritating process that lasted till the end of the meal.

absolutely adore the food there.. its like pig intestings with chilli on hot plate, some tofu dish with thank goodness kel eats..oh oh .. there was this herbal tea thinggie.lovely, couldnt ask for anything more on a hot day.
went shopping after that. aunts decided to get their nails done, uncle had to attend to something important, we went movie hunting..mwahahaha~ Da Vinci ah..here i come ah.. i realized somthing 5min into the movie, they dun translate the french conversations to english. only chinese. kel was sooo engrossed in the movie, i was left all along with chinese hieroglyphics to decipher..wad’s new..so i decided i just hv to read the bloody story when i get home.
was quite a nice movie actually. but apparently they changed the story a bit. ok maybe a bit was an understatement..ah wellz..it was entertaining.. period.
more shopping after da vinci. then there was this place, the exterior of the shopping center looks so well developed, but after u get in, its like bangkok. in fact its better than bangkok, they converse in mandarin, cantonese, english n there was another language i forgot..hv to ask kel. it was fun for the first few stores, then after about the fifth store, i was SUPER IRRITATED. nevermind… THEN THEY STARTED GRABBING ME… WTF!! arrrrgghh… i should intro them to ma n bg or somethin..
look high n low, cannot find mother’s requested golf hat. decided to go for dinner. the walk to the dinner place. dunno how far we walked, lucky they got good food ah. then the pestering started. the usual aunt n uncle ask me ask kel eat lah, then me ask kel eat lah, then kel saying he dun wan lah, then me explaining to them he dun eat fatty pork lah..towards the end of dinner, both parties seemed to hv some common understanding..FINALLY i get to eat in peace ah..

after our goodbyes, it was a race..to see if we could reach home b4 ks.. haha..the things we do..we won..BLEAH~ had a long chat, ta ti, some turht or dare ..haha.. n here i tot i was the only childish one. had c couple of beers.. hmmm..think we slept at 4..arrgghh i’m gonna miss this place.

oh, had my hair cut today at tsing yi, near my aunts place. urm.. sad to say its like the same as being cut back home. no diff leh. i expecting a change in looks. alas.. i must say the place where i got my hair cut, the whole area looks sooo like bt timah plaza. poor kel was bored to death i think. paiseh, make u wait so long.
yes.. they dun speak chinese here too..left it all to my aunt

its official, i’m not going to shenzen. damn typhoon. spoil my plans only.. was up early in the morning, all bathed changed n ready to go. was at the bus stop when the call came in. they were having heavy downpours at shenzen already. so it was my first yum cha breakfast after ks left..

today, i was the planner., mwahahaha~ considering i dun know chinese that well, i believe we managed to get to our destinations. hehz. left the ks’s place for lunch breakfast in the early afternoon. i think i’m kindda getting used to waking up late in the mornings. haha. things i nvr really do in singapore. yes ks, ur place is very comfortable. no complains. EXPAT’s house leh. somemore so kind to leave lappy for me to use. oh, urm..ks ah, i fixed the timing problem in ur blog and tidied up the links.i din touch anything else..really

so..first stop, kwun tong..adidas & nike factory outlet. heard of an adidas factory outlet from ks’s fren’s wife (so scandalous..) did some reasearch on net n found dozens of factory outlets. had problem finding this yip fat factory phase II. spent like 45min maybe? walking up n down only to realise that the entrance is either thru a small door up the stairs or via loading/unloading bay. guess we’re too used to singapores signages.

for a factory, it has like nearly half of the premises convertered to a shopping ally. 14 floors in all. apart from adidas n nike, we found TIMBERLAND (woot..but they din hv the things we wanted), new ba;ance, parallel imported slurping ape, ck, levis n most of all.. apple crumble (ambercrombi or something).. haha. i got a billibong shirt n adidas gym shorts. kel got nothing. funny how the shopper n follower switches roles overseas.. to date i hv exhausted my 300S$ and my 100US$ is finishing soon.. hk is an evil place. it was some crappy bluff me factory sales places after that. DNR - do not recommend

CONDEMN!!.. stick to the crystal jade in singapore..hmm, maybe its because they know i cant speak cantonese and just had this idea of wanting me to argue in cantonese..bleah~

well, in other news, the typhoon warning is now CAT 1. LoL, haven heard that in awhile. hopefully i can still make it to shenzen tmr n more importantly my flight to taiwan.
well ks is officially leaving us today. we gonna be having his place all to ourselves for the next 5… yes .. FIVE days.. whoohoo… party! haha. scared right ks. aiyah. we will look after ur place lah. nothing out of the ordinary will happen. supposed to meet a fren of a fren of kel’s for lunch. such a tounge twister. his name’s him.. or himm.. the farnie names we come across in our lives.. poor chap dislocated his shoulder whilst taking a hk police’s equivalent to ippt. his photos’s still in kel’s phone.
brought us to some yum cha place near harbour city. ok, maybe its just me, but the whole yum cha thing cost less than $30. in such a classy place with a wonderful view of the victoria harbour thinggie, thats like super cheap lor. well, chatted for awhile then he had to go study for his exams.

so kel n i were shopping around the arcades n came across this harley davidson shirt. its like so cool, its a shirt with an eagle pattern on the back. n NO SLEEVES.. y oh y din i get it then n there. haiz. on another note, has anyone heard of goodstar.. or am i the only idiot. no research hor.. be honest. also saw a lifesized (well not really lifesized, just our height) destiny gundam
n here i tot i wouldnt eat “plate big big, food small small” dishes.. oh..guess wad flavour?

ocean park day.. woot~ . ks brought us to hv some kong pao bread thinggie for breakfast izzit? dunno wads the name fo the bread thinggie. its basically bread with some milk pasty thing on the top. arrrgh … u get the drift. my first ride on hk’s public bus.
anyways, had to queue in the freakin heat for the bus to ocean park behind some SMELLY chinese family (wad the hell do they bathe in..n here i thought the “other” race was stinky)

so we’re there lookin at the rides, personally, it initially din impress me lah. but i must say, going with 2 good frens changed that perception. din really wanna tell them bout the rides i been to, but ks (as usual) had to poke.. haha. but ks ah, i had fun lah. thanks many many.

alright, many a story about this roller coaster. the damned support bar just wont fasten.. si bei dui lian leh.. finally got it down. was cursing at the bloody ride. NO KICK, somemore SO MUCH TROUBLE.. PweeZ..
ok now this roller coaster was more impressive than the first. it had loops. 2 of them i think. had a nice chat with the ang moh sitting beside me. yes.. had NO problems fastening the support restraint for this ride. stupid ppl should convert them all to angmoh size. I’M A MEDIUM IN ANGMOH SIZE MIND U!
it was the freefall next. suprisingly there werent many ppl q-ing for this one. think maybe everyone’s chicken? .. ah wellz, we all agreed it wasnt any kick “after” the ride. god knows how we felt b4 it. with the competitive person around, i din think anyone would show the intimidated face anyways..u know how u are ks.. =P
that was about all the thrill rides they had. took some “artistc” pictures n self portraits..

ok we were bored. we din hv sudoku in our hps.. started fooling around with those cottony seed thinggies. it did kill time.

this is unfortunately the first memory i will hv of hk, the gabra-ness. haha, bit of a cock up at the airport yest, we were waiting at the airport for like 2 hours was it? well it sure felt like it anyways..lost, cold and scared..haha.. alright maybe i’m exagerating a bit. well, fren k who was supposed to meet us at the airport wasnt there. 2 singaporeans lost in a country that does not really speak english, contrary to wad ppl say.. was trying to call ks on hp but couldnt get through. turns out he was “stuck at work”… -_-” ah huh…found out the truth later..bleah~ took the airport express to the island he was on. finally got to see him after so long..no change.. came ain a suit. aww. still looks the same. he does hv a more defined body now i reckon..or izzit just me..r u sure u’ve only been playing soccer. . .
ks’s place is located on the bottom island in the middle of the picture. it was a hell of a climb. when i reached the foot of the hill.

then theres the escalator to urm..somewhere on high grounds? well from wad i understand i think its a escalotor leading all the way up at night, and all the way down in the day. sort of a travellator kindda thing.
advice from jer is that i dun put the pic with kel n me on the escalator. its too contrasting in size..
i shall listen to him.. haha.
then came the exploring the city. ks brought us to his workplace. taught us how to take the train, bus n tram. oh .. n i got to see the “unlucky building” the one with the diamonds being bad luck or something.
oh.. saw this on discovery..bout some feng shui master claiming that the escalators cant be parallel facing one particular direction , so they changed it last min
the final pose for the day.
of course, wads hk without the yum cha.. woot~ ks brought us to this place which opens 24hours near his place. the food was not bad actually. although there were some a lot of items in the menu we were clueless of (including ks). oh oh .. heres a recording of the conversation.. haha.. with ks ordering. for those who miss his voice i guess..

Sunday - Today
kel wanted to sleep in, so ks brought me for morning yum cha. at some exquisite place apparently. well .. thats wad i found out from kel few days after.
100YO egg congee. oh, it may be a classy place, but the plates are STILL DIRTY. so much for cleanliness.. went to buy our mattress and pillows for our accomondation after that. ks nearly got a japanese pillow lor.. the square one. LUCKY U DIN GET THAT AH..must always remmber wad S3 told us. dun trouble Trouble till Trouble troubles u. u buy me that pillow ah, i will be using the TWO pillows in ur room ah.. =P ..oh, btw, ks ah .. u still haven show me the seafood in ur com leh..SHY AH..
ok, it was ocean park after that, took their private bus there. BIG MISTAKE. i thought i was a hiong driver.. this is a hiong driver WITH A BUS.
OMG. just when the ride was urm.. interesting, ks had to say there was an accident where the bus overturned a few days b4. thanks leh..
so we arrived at mongkok SAFELY. it was crowded. i knew then, where all the ppl of hong kong go in their free time.
urm, god knows where kel is lookin.. but this generally shows the crowd. the place was huge man. walkin without end. then there was this whole stretch selling only shoes. i just couldnt stop imagining a fren of mine going “oh dude…”. items bought from mongkok include some shirts, with gaara n kakashi hehz, a black mahjong set, n lots of road side food. yum yum.. had to go hv dinner with my auntie *yay* after that. its been tooo long since we last met. was pretty amazed how she recognised me at the mtr station. fat kid ahgeow = fat n oversized ahgeow now? hmm .. ok i got it figured out..
met my cousin for the first time, he’s an ang kong kia.. so cool. haha.. dinner was urm.. pleasent? ks should learn from my aunt on complaining techniques in restaurants.hehz. one thing i dun really like bout the service ppl in hk, they keep saying “bu how yi sze” but they dun do anything to rectify the problem. wads up with that.. so bloody insincere. hope it doesnt apply to everyone.

after dinner. as usual, there was nothin my size. n my first tram ride in hk home after that.
die die had to watch some vcd with ks n kel. its a togetherness thing.. =P but fell asleep halfway though the show.. hehz . it was some boring mahjong competition show. i honestly expected it to be more entertaining..
always wonder how my grandfather came up with this name for me.. still do. i guess i hv to say it does hv a nice english translation.. prosperous + foundation.. haha.. well, those were the two best words i gather.
had one last mahjong game last night, many conclusions i can draw from last night’s session.
1) mahjong in xiao ma’s place is bad luck for me
2) playing mahjong in the kitchen is even more bad luck
3) NVR sit after jerome, he feeds f**ked up cards
4) MUST sit after kel..he feeds everything i need
5) NVR EVER sit next to xiao ma. he likes committing adultery
oh..hong kong, here i come.. hopefully ks has some place in mind to bring us..ks, if u’re reading this now n u hv no clue where to bring us.. u’re so screwed..=P
